Summary/Abstract: The following article offers a contrastive description of the various types of False Anglicisms in Bulgarian and the various aspects of their fitting into Christiano Furiasssi’s classification of False Anglicisms in Italian. The large number of such words in both languages can be assigned into eight basic groups: Autonomous Compounds, Autonomous Derivatives, Compound Ellipses, Clippings, Semantic Shifts, Eponyms, Toponyms, Generic Trademarks.
