Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to show how verbal and non-verbal metaphors interact for a persuasive purpose. The research material is a video recording of the Polish government's conference concerning a wave of the COVID-19 pandemic (March 2021). The results of the study conducted with the method of integrated communication analysis indicate the dominance of metaphors of war, natural disasters, power, and time.
