Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to discuss the functions of cultural magazines in Sandomierz – “Strony Sandomierskie” and “Goworek”. The publication consists of two parts. The first deals with the history and presents both periodicals. The second one is an analysis of the content of “Strony Sandomierskie” and “Goworek” with an indication of the functions performed by these magazines.
