Summary/Abstract: We will focus our analysis on this major fact, through the diachronic and synthetic presentation of the main moments that point to a high intellectual controversy, led by Nae Ionescu, in the issue of the Patriarch-Regent.In order to regain its place in the context of Orthodox ecumenism, the BOR was obliged to establish canonical and dogmatic discipline within it, carrying out an extensive operation to eradicate the dysfunctions, the colds that crushed it. A first major form of manifestation of canonical dysfunction, through the fraudulent intrusion of politics within the Church is the appointment of Patriarch Miron Cristea in the Regency Council. Nae Ionescu’s first press campaign was launched on July 24, 1927, when, following the death of King Ferdinand, the Regency Council was established, of which Patriarch Miron Cristea was a member. In this campaign, which lasts for several months and in which high church leaders participate, Nae Ionescu demonstrates the impossibility of the Patriarch to serve two masters simultaneously, while drawing attention to the dangers to which the Church is exposed, through this precedent created.
