Summary/Abstract: This essay tries to explain a paradigm shift that may be occuring inside the Romanian literary field in terms of literary forms adopted by novelists. If the 2000s generation is prone to choose autofiction as a formula for what they have to say (and one of the most proeminent novelists of the 2000s generation, Adrian Schiop, still does this in his novels), novelists that come after this moment tend to relinquish autofiction for a more classical approach towards the novel.
