Summary/Abstract: The regular changes as cyclical fluctuation in the long time are observed not only in economic phenomena but also in demographic processes. The goal of the article is to identify the cyclical fluctuations of number of births and female fertility rate in eight chosen European countries. Data on births number and female fertility rate in the countries collected in the Human Mortality Database www.mortality.org were used. The time series of variable numbered 150 to 207 observations. The modified procedure to determine cyclical features of changes in number of births and fertility rate was applied in this research. For each country the turning points and duration of cycle were identified. The similarities and the differences according to cyclical fluctuation in analyzed countries were presented.
