Statistical societies in the interwar period

Summary/Abstract: The first article part presents achievements of the Statistic Section being partof the organizational structure of the Society of Polish Economists and Statisticians (SPES) in the years 1917―1936. An analysis of the legal status of its activitiesand the implementation of statutory tasks are presented. The second partof the study characterizes the activities of the Polish Statistical Society in1937―1939, after its separation from SPES.
