Agricultural Census 2010

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the preparation and conducting the Polish Agricultural Census 2010 as well as some of its results. The survey took place the first time in our country’s accession to the EU. The study indicates basic methodological differences in censuses 2002 and 2010 which can influence a result comparison. First results of the Census 2010 show that the number of farms decreased (like in some EU countries) and agricultural area slightly decreased as well. There was also a change in the number and structure of livestock as well as in the number of tractors and agricultural machinery.
