Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze in which way Romania and the United Kingdom have interacted between 1918-1940, at the level of the European security system, in the light of the national security interests. This interaction wasn’t carried out in a regular fashion due to the fact that the United Kingdom, as one of the world’s greatest powers, had much more complex interests, the East-European space being for London a region where negotiation involving economic and political influence could be carried out with the other top world players. However, during the interbellum period, bilateral relationships have been created, as well as political and economic cooperation projects. Also, the military plan hasn’t been neglected, considering that by the end of the 3rd decade; a mutual vision has been reached, about guaranteeing security in the Black Sea Region, through Romanian-English initiatives.
