A periodization of global threats. The fifth generation of threats

Summary/Abstract: Beginning with the military threats, the idea of security and threat assessment has changed dramatically the realities after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Therefore, we could contemplate a number of successive changes at this level that we tried to propose in a series of fi fth generation of threats. There is not a random way of classifi cation since both NATO documents and the EU Global Security Strategy and its revisions and updates are noting this evolution. We also tend to give the general lines of this fi fth generation with a direct impact on societal security, political security as well as hard security in itself
