Summary/Abstract: The article treats an important and interesting problem of literary medievestics: Where to look for and how to interpret the individual style of different writers in the sphere of normafive medieval aestetics and literary practice? The first part suggests a theoretical model of the interaction between the following objectively existing factors: style of the epoch, medieval tradition, authors' style. The important point is that such model exists in the tradition of medieval literary practice in the form of the medieval theoretical composition which has reached our time. The second part of the article is a practical example of the basic theoretical principles. They are shown as a complex of criteria which determine the individual style of the author in the sphere of medieval rhetorics. The eulogies of Clement of Ohrid are used for illustration. The major results of their full textual analysis are systematized into a specific author's model.
