On inter-genre relationships in the press

Summary/Abstract: The article makes an attempt to describe the relationship between genres in the press. Using methodology by Maria Wojtak and Bożena Witosz, the author underlines intra-genre relationships between particular genres. The intra-genre processes can be referred to as including any types of adaptations or contaminations. The inter-genre relationships, on the other hand, can be collections of forms or para-textual genres. The author distinguishes inter-textual genres in the press. These are letters to editors, as well as press polemics and disclaimers. All these are placed by the author in a broad field of inter-textuality.
