Summary/Abstract: The paper focuses on the characteristics of the instrumental enrichment method and its tools according to Reuven Feuerstein (FIE) as well as on structural cognitive modifiability as its starting point. The method also includes applied systems, such as dynamic diagnostics and dynamic assessment, cognitive maps, the mediated learning experience, instrumental enrichment and its tools, and shaped modifying environments. In this paper we present the practical use of this method and current trends in its use not only in the learning of persons with special needs but also in their therapy.
