Legal Protection of Aquatic Resources in Natural Ecosystems in the Republic of Moldova

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to outline the complexity of water resources issue within environmental law. It has been analysed that public policies encourage implementation of water management plans and activities directed toward maintainance the water quality to the international standards. In the same time, it is observed gabs in the enforcement process, as the complexity of elements within water sector require each a separate attention in terms of legal protection, and in this line of ideas, as the administrative capacity of the central authorities is limited, its segmentation per category of water resource is relevant to be examined separately.
