Summary/Abstract: The author recollects a special event from the religious life of the members of the Diocese of the “Lower Danube” and of their Bishop. The event took place 135 years ago, when the relics of Saint John Chrysostom were brought to the towns of Galaţi and Brăila, by the support of the monks from Philotheou monastery, from Mount Athos.
