Summary/Abstract: The specificity of Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H), as a very complex organization of the state, implied a number of complex solutions in government as well as law enforcement structures. This specificity extends to the system of national security of B&H, which in the case of B&H bears the compromise name "Security System", where it is (un)consciously deprived of the state / national attribute. The specific organization of states, with a specifically set system of national security, has received one of the biggest challenges in the 21st century, and certainly illegal and legal migration, as a task to deal with it, especially given the fact that B&H, directly routes Asian-African migrants, on their way to the European Union. It is a particularly interesting moment how B&H, as a specific state, is struggling with a specific security system with the migrant crisis, which is conditioned by security needs on the one hand, and the rule of law and humanitarian principles on the other.
