Summary/Abstract: In his didactic activity and scientific research, Father Ioan Ică always emphasized the need to study the sources and to renew theology in accordance with patristic theology in order to elaborate a professing theology in the context of today’s world. In this regard, Father Professor Ioan Ică remains a model of akriveia and theological scientific seriousness. As a sign of appreciation and gratitude for his hard work in the field of theological education and in the service of the Church, we will briefly present the results of his research and reflections on theology as a science and confession, as per his university courses and studies on this topic.
