The privatization of public tasks in the sphere of metrology is a manifestation of adapting the forms of public tasks to the needs of business transactions by introducing private law elements (civil law contracts) that ensure faster and more efficient implementation of these tasks. The introduction of this instrument resulted in the development of a new type of administrative entity – notified bodies, which are both public entities (units of administration of measures) and private entities. The flex¬ibility of the means for administering measurements has increased, which in the implementation of services in the field of conformity assessment uses forms of action appropriate to private law. The introduction of conformity assessment has a positive impact on the economy by expanding the number of entities (notified bodies) performing the assessment of measuring instrument dignity and thus increasing accessibility for entrepreneurs.
