Summary/Abstract: Discovery of a handwritten fragment in the Library of the National Museum of Unification Alba Iulia determined us to carry out this little research interrupted due to the objective circumstances from 2020. We dealt with a manuscript from Disertaţie despre căsătorii (Dissertation on Marriages) by Samuil Micu. The tackled manuscript is in the Old Library no 340/1964. It is a manuscript that has not been researched yet, in which we identified a variant in Romanian of the work of Samuil Micu only printed in Latin in a first edition, with the title Dissertatio Canonica de Matrimonio juxta disciplinam Graecae Orientalis Ecclesiae, Vienna, 1781. In the current context, we also debated another manuscript copy of the same Dissertation, dated to 1782, from the Library of the Academy from Cluj‑Napoca with the conventional title written with Latin characters Despre casatoria (fragmentu). Ms autografu alu lui S. Klein (On marriage (fragment). The manuscript signature of S. Klein). Because the work was published in Latin, at a renowned Viennese typographer, it could have circulated in the Empire and the Romanian area, in the milieu of Romanian scholars. The work of Samuil Micu On marriages was not printed in Romanian, that is why the manuscript kept at the museum from Alba Iulia, even if a fragment, may contribute to a new assessment of the work of Samuil Micu.
