Summary/Abstract: The main aim of this paper is to explore the current situation of Ottoman studies in the universities of Bangladesh. It surveys the first-hand data showing that universities’ interest in this field and investigates course-contents of the different universities of Bangladesh in which Ottoman history being introduced. Accordingly, the primary sources in doing so are syllabi, curriculum, course packages, and research publications of the Bangladeshi academic environment, which are also the basis of the study’s conceptual framework. The article follows a holistic approach via describing and analyzing the topic through primary and secondary sources. It also compares and interprets the data with building a cause effect relationship of the phenomenon. It, finally, presents recommendations regarding the prospects of Ottoman studies in Bangladesh.
