Summary/Abstract: In the German speaking countries professional Communication shows diversity from three points of view: 1. internal multilingualism in relation to some languages for special purposes; 2. external multilingualism in relation to German and/or English as a foreign language; 3. tendency of differentiation, decentralization, and dynamization. The article shows their connections as well as their political and didactic implications.
