Summary/Abstract: The book “Long term organo mineral fertilization of grain corn and soybeans on irrigated chernozem in the Romanați Plain” by Ștefan Ionescu, Victor Viorel Vătămanu, Gheorghe Iagăru, Dănuț Octavian Toma and Emilian Popa, is a valuable synthesis of lengthy experiments, describing characteristics of the geographic area in which the experiments were located; climatic conditions during the stud ied period (1981–2000); characteristics of the soil under tests; research method and studied factors; productivity of soybeans and corn, which were irrigated under the influence of the organo mineral fertilisation sys tem; the quality of production; the evolution of the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of the soil under the influence of fertilisation, balance and energy efficiency.
