Summary/Abstract: Log-linear analysis allows to analyze the relationship between two or more categorical (e.g. nominal or ordinal) variables. There are several types of association. For testing the goodness of fit the Pearson chi-square statistic, likelihood ratio and information criteria are used. With the rising unemployment rate in recent years, unemployment is one of the most important socio-economic and social problems in Poland. The comparative log-linear analysis of unemployment will be presented on the data from the Central Statisti-cal Office. Log-linear models are available in R software.
