Summary/Abstract: In my article, I would like to present a few examples, both in the field of professional psychology and popular psychology, showing the desocialization (disocializing)and depoliticizing (depoliticizing) dimension of these practices carried out by individual people who, thanks to appropriate tools (this word is very fashionable in popular therapeutic practices), they give the possibility or hope for this possibility, to „improve oneself ”, to create a „better version of oneself ”, as the popular advertising slogan says.
