The extermination of the Polish gentry in the partitioned territories in the years 1917-1921 based on the example of the Podhorski family

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the history of the Podhorski family which, before 1914, owned numerous estates in Russian Ukraine. The family lost the estates following the Oc-tober Revolution and the subsequent wars. Their fate was sealed by the Peace of Riga as a result of which, the Kiev region was incorporated into the USSR .
