Taxonomic analysis as a tool supporting assessment of the enterprise’s development – the selected example of agriculture machinery industry

Summary/Abstract: The assessment of the economic and financial situation of the enterprise is a key element of its analysis. It is a complex issue requiring observation in many aspects such as sales revenues, liquidity, profitability, investments, operational efficiency or market share. Access to analytical information and assessment of business activity enables efficient and effective management. It is helpful in making current and strategic decisions by managers. Moreover, it enables both effective operation and development of the enterprise in the future. The article focuses on the important issues from strategic company analysis. The attention was focused on the assessment of the economic and financial situation of the selected enterprise in the area of agricultural machinery industry. Taxonomic analysis of the company was carried out based one the available data. The conducted research shows observations that can play an important and advisory role in making strategic decisions by managers and other decision makers.
