Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a review of Croatian children’s literature from its beginnings up to the present day. The review includes four periods, and one that refers to contemporary children’s literature and to living established writers. The most prominent authors from each period were selected together with their works, and with thematic and stylistic features of their literary creation.
