Summary/Abstract: Shihab al-din Suhrawardy (d. 1191) is one of the most significant thinkers and philosophers in the history of Islam. Apart from his works in Arabic, he also authored several short treatises in Persian language discussing the main topics of spiritual journey and spiritual knowledge. One of them is the treatise Logat-e muran (the language of ants), which was translated in the paper and in which Suhrawardy exhibits his spiritual teaching in twelve short allegorical stories.
