Summary/Abstract: During 1921 Serbian newspapers reported on controversial elements of military equipment and material procurements leading to Vienna-based business circles, with involvement by the Royal government members in Serbia. The media and the opposition parties’ MPs repeatedly demanded a clarification of the details of the decision-making process in effecting military procurements, and several senior government members were accused of corruption, including Rade Pašić, son of the then-Prime Minister, Nikola Pašić. Despite all these demands, no official investigation was ever held of the matter.
