Summary/Abstract: This article presents an empirical study carried out to evaluate and analyze urban big data analytics and sustainable governance networks in integrated smart city planning and management. Building my argument by drawing on data collected from Accenture, Capgemini, ITU, McKinsey, and The University of Adelaide, I performed analyses and made estimates regarding how, by integrating sustainable urban technologies in Internet of Things-enabled smart cities, massive volumes of data can be gathered and analyzed. Smart cities depend significantly on Internet of Things sensing infrastructures for enabling data collection and analysis. Integrated smart city planning and management, computationally networked urbanism, and cloud computing are instrumental in configuring sustainable urban governance networks. Sensor-based big data applications shape the development of smart and environmentally sustainable cities. Data collected from 6,500 respondents are tested against the research model. Descriptive statistics of compiled data from the com- pleted surveys were calculated when appropriate.
