THE HYMNOGRAPHIC WORK OF CONSTANTINE PRESBYTER, THE DISCIPLE OF SS CYRIL AND METHODIUS

Summary/Abstract: Our research focuses on the latest findings regarding the original Slavic literary work of the disciple of Ss. Cyril and Methodius, particularly in his hymnography – comprising of poetical and liturgical works. During the last several decades, medievalists have uncovered and identified a large number of newly discovered transcripts of the literary works of this renowned disciple of Ss Cyril and Methodius. Together with St. Clement of Ohrid, he took part in the completion of the original Slavic hymnographic song cycles.
