Summary/Abstract: The evolution of entrepreneurship in recent years offers strongarguments regarding the role of entrepreneurial initiatives to stimulateeconomic growth and development and innovation has proven an essential toolfor entrepreneurs. The objective of the current research is to present abibliometric perspective of the relevant literature. The field structure is definedusing bibliometric indicators, and the key trends in this area are mapped usingthe VOSviewer program. Over the period 2000–2020, a total of 958 paperswere found in the Web of Science Core Collection database regarding theimportance of innovation in entrepreneurship for economic growth anddevelopment. A careful review of the articles, conference papers, authors,institutions, and keywords is performed. Also, the co-occurrence of keywordsand timeline review are presented. Finally, the paper provides relevantconclusions on the topic..
