Summary/Abstract: The article presents the legal and organisational principles of the functioning of bridges and dikes in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Th e research is based on the legal regulations from the early modern era, including national legal norms and individual privileges. These provisions are considered in two aspects: spatial and economic ones.
