Summary/Abstract: Inspection is one of the procedural steps used to obtain as much information as possible about a crime. In the Code of Criminal Procedure, the legislator mentions the possibility of carrying out procedural activities in the form of examining people, places, things and corpses and the ways of documenting them. The most complicated and complex in terms of trial and forensics are the examination of the place of the incident, and therefore they are the subject of this study. In the article, the author focused on the issue of the principles of conducting inspec- tions. She discussed the methods of inspection and stages of on-site inspection (initial inspection, close-up inspection, final inspection). In her work, she also focused on the issue of documenting the results of the site inspections.
