Summary/Abstract: In this paper, we aim to analyse how a particular type of discourse expressed in French related to the crisis situation generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, namely the Orthodox theological discourse. Since the pandemic has profoundly affected religious life and the liturgical practice of Christians (Dumas, 2020), the discourse of the main Orthodox theologians has also had to try to answer fundamental questions concerning the “reasons” and the “causes” of this situation, and, at the same time, to propose solutions to adapt to it and to compensate for the absence of a “normal” community liturgical life.
