Development of Digital Skills of Employees in Bulgaria - Trends and Challenges

Summary/Abstract: The main goal of the article is to study trends in the development of digital skills of employees in Bulgaria and to outline challenges for human resources training activities in organizations. The survey uses official statistics from Eurostat and international specialized surveys. The results of the study show that companies in Bulgaria provide training to improve the digital skills of employees, but the activity in this area is significantly below the EU averagelevel of the surveyed indicators. In the context of the ambitious goals for digital transformation of Bulgaria, challenges are emerging for the training of human resources in organizations as a factor for the development of digital skills of employees.
