The Bronze Age settlement of Bălăceanca, Ilfov County, Romania. Some considerations about the absolute chronology of Tei culture

Summary/Abstract: In this contribution the author presents a batch of Bronze Age materials belonging to Tei culture, discovered during rescue excavations at Bălăceanca, Ilfov County. Some aspects are discussed, such as pottery typology and technology, positioning the site of Bălăceanca in a wider context, and Bronze Age habitation dynamics in the centre of the Romanian Plain. A radiocarbon date analyzed at the Poznan Laboratory gives the author the opportunity for a discussion concerning the absolute chronology of Tei culture
