Summary/Abstract: At the beginning, the paper brings the basic biographic datas about one of the most important Czech composers of the second half of the 20th century. In the second half, it contains the survey and characteristic of that part of Tučapský´s choral compostions which were inspired by folklore, that is compositions on folk poetry and arrangements of folk songs.
