Summary/Abstract: This article explains the legislative for right to access information in domestic law, including recommendations and opinions of relevant international and non government organizations, with intense to improving it and removing obstacles in implementation. In addition, through analyses of the comparative legal solutions and a comparative review of the freedom to information this article put the issue of it’s treatment in neighboring and other countries as well. The main purpose is to achieve complete understanding of the relevant right to access information law in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, accent placed on the need to eliminate conflicts between relevant norms, with the intention of eliminating any form of legal uncertainty and to satisfying the principles of transparency, public interest, proportionality and responsibility.
