Summary/Abstract: The presence of social elites in the cultural life of the HabsburgEmpire knows the most diverse implications from the material support andpromotion of the main creators and bearers of cultural life, to thedevelopment of a cultural patronage activity among the elitist society. Thenoble society recognized in due time the importance of culturalmanifestations and its importance in the cultural emancipation of society, asa result of which he was one of the most important promoters of arts, culticand spiritual life, literature, etc. The noble families Demelics and Rigytskycontributed decisively to the formation and promotion of the composerKornelije Stanković, later recognized as one of the most prolific andprominent composers in the ranks of Serbs in the mid-nineteenth century.
