Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses several preliminary stylistic elements concerning the interpretation of the Baroque repertory for bassoon. The score of a Baroque music piece is a frame that the musicians-interpreters decorate with improvisations and ornaments. The rules to apply differ from one stage of the Baroque to another, from a geographic area to another, from a composer (interpreter) to another. It is worth mentioning the richness and colourful diversity of the Baroque music, which produces a luxurious creation, with individual specificities, although it evolves within clearly determined national boundaries.
