Summary/Abstract: In the context of the need to ensure optimum technical conditions, designed to support specific police activities, the first element to be considered is the mobility of police officers. The most important aspect is related to the easy access to information of the policemen, regardless of the location where they are and independently of the way in which this mobility is ensured, with equipment of smartphone, tablet or laptop. At the same time, taking into account the character of the information exploited by the police, it is necessary to implement strict security rules regarding their access. Thus, starting from the premise that there is no perfect combination between a computer system that provides data in a very easy way and a very strict security solution, it is important to find a balance between the facilities offered to the police, through mobile devices and the security of the Sectorial Information System of the Romanian Police (SISPOL).
