Summary/Abstract: Uncertainty looms everywhere and will exist at any time, because the future has a certain peculiarity: although, to some extent, it is predictable, to at least the same extent, it is unpredictable (uncertain). A widespread recommendation tells us that we should not risk more than we can afford to lose. Beyond the relativity of the issue: How much “can we afford to lose”?, the above indication is often disregarded, because the pursuit of profit maximization, in most cases, brings less modest decisions, which emanate fragility and exposure to crisis situations. It is true that high risks can produce gains proportional to their size, but not infrequently, high risks lead to failures, or even economic disasters. In the present material we will analyze some theses on overcoming crises.
