VIRTUAL ANTHROPONIMY. STRUCTURES AND INCENTIVES

Summary/Abstract: The nickname represents the newest type of denomination, arisen from the need to identify the internet users. Unlike the surname (that is inherited) or the baptismal name (given to us by our parents or godparents), we can chose the virtual name, we bear it and we change it whenever and however we want. There are no rules to meet in this area. Under its protection we can be anywhere in the online space, we can be and say anything under the mask of the anonymity. In this article we intend to analyze some of the structures and features of nicknames in Romania.
