Summary/Abstract: The Data Protection Officer(DPO) is one of the professions established by the Occupational Code in Romania. In Romania, at the legislative level, in the Fall of the 2020 year, it was tried to promote a law initiative to regulate the DPO profession. This law initiative has failed but put in the light a few wrong practices regarding the conformity with GDPR and European Union law, and in the same time the study propose some idea to reach the final objective: a high level of compliance with GDPR
