Summary/Abstract: The present paper deals with the social paysage of prostitution as introduction in social mores from Romanian urban space of Craiova from almost a century. Under the influence caused by igienism debates, the medicalization of the official discourse on prostitution, a more attention of public behaviours and the change of the body representations and education in European society, brothels became subject of public debates. Customers brothels become themselves a universe that moves between normal and deviant behavior, between what is acceptable and what is hidden. The study of such clients presents lessons in the human condition and invites at a large comprehension of society, far to respect its own interdictions.
