Summary/Abstract: Construction projects are exposed to many risks during their life cycle. Risk represents any impact on the desired outcome of an event. The importance of risk management is recognized as one of the main aspects of all design phases. In order to identify and mitigate risks, it is necessary to establish a good understanding and communication of the project team. Risks that occur during the construction and maintenance of buildings have increased in recent years, and the main reason is the increasing complexity of projects, as well as the size of the facilities and methods of their construction [1]. BIM is a modern concept that enables monitoring of the construction process of the facility, from the planning and design phase, to the final phase and maintenance. It is a systematic method that manages project risks that include design errors, occupational safety, project quality, and financial aspects.
