In connection with artificial intelligence, a number of concrete ethical and legal issues have already emerged in various areas, such as civil liability, insurance, data protection, security, contracts and crime. Data security plays a major role in the relationship between artificial intelligence and the law, as many artificial intelligence applications involve the massive processing of personal data, including the targeting and personalized treatment of individuals based on this data. Starting from the central role that artificial intelligence systems now play, the innovations introduced by European regulation on the processing of personal data must find a balance capable of simultaneously meeting the development needs of the digital market and the protection of personal data.
