Blaze Koneski’s Profile as a Comparative Literature Thinker

Summary/Abstract: The paper notes Koneski’s lucid views expressed in his entire work and especially in his essays on the understanding of literature as a system of values that unite “national background” and “world literary process”, of regional poetics (“Mediterranean sphere”) and especially his deep understanding, practice and evaluation of literary translation, as well as the phenomena of literary influences and coincidences. The paper outlines Koneski’s profile as a thinker who contributed to the comparative literature as a subdiscipline in Macedonian literary researches.
