Summary/Abstract: The production company for animated films "Compote Collective" by Vessela Dancheva and Ivan Bogdanov occupies a special place in the practice of Bulgarian animated cinema. It is a center of attraction for young authors who seek freedom of creative expression and freely transform European avant-garde practices, considering world art as their cultural heritage. Compote Collective combines the search for new styles and genres with an innovative approach to both production and distribution. The two main principles in trying to overcome the isolation of animated cinema from the public are both the active demand for international co-producers and transmedia projects involving different distribution channels.
